Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Universal City, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Universal City is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Universal City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This was the first Vietnamese restaurant I ever tried, and Iβm so glad I did! The young lady at the front desk is so sweet, beautiful, and welcoming, and the service here is absolutely excellent. The food is amazingβhonestly, this is some of the best and most authentic Asian food Iβve had in San Antonio. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and authentic. We love it so much that we come here 3β4 times almost every week! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Vietnamese food. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in San Antonio! β€οΈ

This restaurant specializes in northern Vietnamese style dishes and their meat in their soups are quite juicy and tender. If you go here often, it's a good idea to try something different each time. As for spicy, it's more like spicy enough to bring flavors, which is nice enough. This isn't like hot pot where if you want spicy, you can be nuts with it.

I went during lunch time. Service was good and helpful. The Milk Taro tea was excellent. I ordered square egg roll and it was real good it's served with lettuce, shredded carrots and a little bowl of a broth you can put eggroll in. I ordered the combination vermicelli with broth(bun thai) and my husband ordered the grilled pork vermicelli w/broth (bun cha chan hanoi) they were both had good flavor. I would definetely come back and try other dishes.

I really enjoy eating here. The space is beautiful, spacious, and clean, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Bun Dau Mam Tom is my favorite dish, and this is my second time coming back β they did not disappoint me. I highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy traditional and local Vietnamese dishes.

This place has the best and most authentic Hanoi/ northern Viet cuisine and greatly affordable! Iβm from Austin and was looking for a restaurant that serves crispy tofu & noodles (shrimp paste)/ bun dau mam tom, and read somewhere on Facebook that they have it here. Drove all the way down just to get it and itβs VERY worth it. We also ordered the bun cha (Hanoi special grilled pork noodles) and it was so delicious and authentic, feeling like Iβm back home in Vietnam. I donβt really eat out a whole lot, especially with Vietnamese cuisine, but this place is worth every single penny. P/S: the boba is so good too, and the pearls feel like homemade. Got the jasmine milk tea with 100% sugar, and it tastes perfect!
